tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-159232662011-04-21T18:21:57.924-07:00NaKquAKEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18303475182213658031noreply@blogger.comBlogger21100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15923266.post-1125981965272508122005-09-05T21:39:00.000-07:002005-09-05T21:46:05.276-07:00Online Yahoo messenger!!<br />I came across this site <a href="http://www.e-messenger.net">www.e-messenger.net</a> that was offering online yahoo messenger and msn .It is a pretty useful facility if you would want to chat in the absense of an installed messenger .However the responses are not fast .Maybe if Yahoo messenger is blocked by firewall we could circumnavigate it through this site !!!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/15923266-112598196527250812?l=technoedge.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>NaKquAKEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18303475182213658031noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15923266.post-1125737929604702082005-09-03T01:29:00.000-07:002005-09-03T01:58:49.610-07:00Buying a laptop ?? !!!<br />For the most of us here ,buying a laptop is often no easy choice to make - esp. with the multifarious brands available ...it is complex if not a tricky decision.It is quite normal to go for the best bet in terms of performance(read processor,FSB,RAM,GFX) and the peripherals (read Bluetooth ,Firewire,USB,DVD R/W) ...but little do we pay attention to the design of the laptop !!!Design of course is a very important consideration for a laptop .Most laptops i have come across(with the exception of thinkpad) have a poor design with respect to the robustness .Take for example the LCD screen - because the top case of the laptops(hosting the display) is often too thin and made of structurally weak materials(for lighter weight),any sligtest pressure applied to the top case of the laptop(when the laptop is closed),results in the screen coming in contact with the keyboard -the result , keyboard scratches on the screen !!!now who would want to end up with a scrathed LCD screen ,that is not covered by warrenty .<br />Take an other example ,most laptops have a switch on the keypad face (top edge generally),to turn off the screen when the laptop is folded .look for the placement of this switch ,if it is very close to u r operating area ,any accidental contact would turn off u r screen !!now do u want that !!!<br />Also look for the casing below - look for the ease of carrying and pressure distribution at the bottom .because DVD/CD R/W are addons ,they generally tend to stay as separate units .so when to hold on to the bottom of the case ,see if a lot of pressure is applied to the DVD unit- this is a dangerous thing and a poor design .<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/15923266-112573792960470208?l=technoedge.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>NaKquAKEhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18303475182213658031noreply@blogger.com0
